[There is something unusual about Mitsuhide today. Usually the young samurai wears understated colours, such as dark blue, mixed with white and black. Right now, however, he is wearing a canary yellow kimono.]

[The colour does not work well with his pale complexion; it makes him look washed-out. Mitsuhide seems oblivious to this fact, however, and bows his head with a smile.]

May this New Year bring you all great fortune.

[He hums briefly before continuing.]

Many of you seem quite excited about this 'Valentine's Day dance.' I know little about the festival itself, but if it continues to make so many smile then I am all for it. I must confess that I am not sure if I will attend myself.

[Mitsuhide laughs quietly.]
