Akechi Mitsuhide

Is this right? I've not... ahhh...

[ A small pause as he checks he's done it right, and then Mitsuhide speaks again, his voice a little unsteady. ]

It seems my arrival here coincides with the approach of conflict. Of what kind I dare not guess, but it is in the air, and understandable considering what has been learnt. I only hope violence does not become necessary.

[ Another pause. ]

What I wished to do today, however, was finally use this strange device to offer thanks to those who gave me guidance when I arrived here. It is appreciated... the confusion I felt was immense, as it must have been for all of you when you came here. In all honesty I felt at first that this must be some grand illusion, some elaborate punishment by those who wish harm upon me. Clearly it is not, though seeing one I knew to be dead in my world made me believe so strongly for a short while.

I still do not understand how such is possible, but...

[ A little sigh, and the sound of movement. ]

I am weak, but... I will endeavour to do what is best for everyone here.
