[Mitsuhide is sat next to the tree in the garden of his home. His fairy is back in its usual place; a white light floating near his head. There is an empty dish at his side.]

The fairies have returned. I have noticed that the coral seems to be growing brighter again as well. Reassuring, but still leaving many questions. Ones I already know will not be answered.

[He sighs, and shakes his head.]

I suppose dwelling on the matter will do no good. There are plenty of delights to be found in Vatheon... several make worthy distractions. 'Ice-cream' definitely counts as one of them. I had never tasted anything like it until I came to this city.

[A soft laugh.]

The peach flavoured kind is especially wonderful. I am fond of peaches in general, but add their flavour to ice-cream and you have an exceptional dish. It has been difficult, making sure I do not overindulge!

[He sounds tired, worried and perhaps just a little frustrated about something.]

As strange as those 'fairies' were, I feel more unnerved by their disappearance than I did by their presence. Other things are odd too... the dimness of the coral perhaps the most unsettling. I do not wish to make assumptions, but this cannot be anything good.

[A pause. When he speaks again, it's almost in the manner of someone making a concession.]

I will have to try and sleep properly over the coming week. Who knows what we will face? Best I keep my strength up...
